  First let me say: the reason for one star has nothing to do with the food. I simply wish to draw attention to a fiasco that has yet to end. Please read on.
  
  In the month of September 2013, I had my wedding in Asbury Park. The night before that day, all the wedding guests were having a great time in the Dauphin. So far so good. Just about everyone paid by credit card (or, sadly, debit card). It seems the Dauphin had an issue and didn't charge anyone until several days later. Okay, fine. Now to the problem: one month later, they charged a number of those guests (including myself) again! Their explanation: some charges didn't go through originally. Really? So you just ran them all?? I immediately disputed the charge with my bank, who has at this point very much agreed with me. Calls were made to the Dauphin, They were dodgy about the reasoning, and failed to offer an apology. Now, a month AFTER a number of family members had contacted the Dauphin, one of my family members has yet to see a refund on her debit card. What's more, the manager is no longer returning [her?] calls.
  
  The food was very good. I am shocked and saddened by this turn of events, not to mention the sour note it puts on what was otherwise a wonderful time. What is interesting here is that my wedding guests weren't the only ones there - that night, there were four weddings worth of people in and out of the Dauphin. A lot of people. How many of all those people were double-charged a month later? How many caught it?
  
  So, if you still want to go to the Dauphin, which I would prefer you don't on principle, then at least heed my advice: pay with cash.
